Madrid exhibition sheds light on the scars of breast cancer

One art exhibition wants to shine a spotlight on the physical and psychological scars left by breast cancer and mastectomy in Madrid.

Exhibition at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum of Art, titled “From Skin to Canvas: Another Take On Breast Cancer“, features digital copies of works by Francisco de Goya, Peter Paul Rubens and Hans Baldung Grien, which have been altered to look like nude subjects. mastectomies,
