“there is no evidence [to support] That Underarm Roll-On deodorant causes breast cancer,” he said, adding that people claim that because it contains aluminum, it can block sweat glands and be absorbed into the body, leading to breast cancer.
“That’s not quite true. The amount of aluminum you absorb underarm deodorant Not enough to actually cause cancer. According to some studies, it is as small as 0.012 percent, which is actually a small amount of aluminum,” said the doctor. She concluded by saying that one need not worry about their underarm deodorant, and use it as much as they want.
Agreeing with them, Dr Teji Davane, Senior Consultant Obstetrician, Gynecologist and Fertility Specialist, Motherhood Hospitals Whitefield, Bengaluru, said indianexpress.com Rumors about the connection between deodorants (especially underarm ones) and Breast Cancer have been circulating for ages, however, there is little scientific evidence to support this claim.
