However, Dr Dixha suggests following precautions while using honey

* Honey should not be mixed with hot food or water.
Honey should not be consumed while working in a hot environment.
*Honey should never be mixed with ghee or with hot, spicy foods, fermented drinks (eg, whisky, rum, brandy); Or mustard.

“Ghee, when mixed with honey in equal proportions by weight, replaces it” A M A Or as venom they go through the process of digestion. Honey can increase pitta; So taking it with spicy food increases it even more,” said Dr Sukumaran.
