This Festive Season, Stay Hydrated With These Expert-Approved Tips

For example, fruits and vegetables in raw form have the highest percentage of water, cooked whole grains and carbohydrates such as lentils contain a fair amount, and high-fat foods have very low water content such as nuts and lentils. “Remember, drinking more than 500ml of water in one go in the morning does not count towards hydration status. Hence, it is important to drink water throughout the day,” Chawla said.

Chawla further shares different ways to stay well hydrated this season:

* Start the day with the juice of half a lemon in lukewarm water. Add a pinch of cinnamon to it.

* Have a fresh glass of coconut water early in the morning.

* Apple cider vinegar in lukewarm water before lunch helps in boosting immunity and keeps you hydrated throughout the day.

* Sip on water filled with mint, basil, or citrus fruits throughout the day.

*You can also sip oregano either Fennel water to aid digestion or help with bloating, once a day.

* 1 cup soup/vegetable the con This is a great idea before going to the party.

* Take home made herbal tea that contains ginger, black pepper and some tea leaves.

She also shared two rules of thumb:

Drink 2 glasses of water with every glass of wine.
